Kill Joy: By Holly Jackson
Kill joy is a fast-paced tale of suspense with quirky characters and endless twists and turns. The story line both hilarious and gripping as it follows the story of teenage Pip Fitz-Amobi attending her friends '1920's murder mystery' themed dinner party, all the while finding herself getting more and more engrossed into the story behind the murder as the night progresses.
I personally loved the characters and how their voices were portrayed in the narration, each capturing their characters snootiness, humbleness or general personality traits. Each character is lovable, fun and almost relatable with their sarcasm and banter between the friends, making the book even more entertaining and laughable. I also enjoyed how it is narrated to intrigue your further, the tone changes that make scenes all the more suspenseful to hook you while the truth behind who murdered Reginald Remy begins to unravel. I believe this was a great minor add on to the Good Girls Guide To Murder series, which is an amazing set, from Holly Jackson. I truly could not stop listening, it had me hooked from the first chapter, i would highly recommend this book to whoever is a fan of detective crime novels and whodunits!
