The Listening Books Members' Choice Award is back for a second year! Audiobooks are particularly good for immersing yourself in nature stories. Once you've settled down, put your headphones in or your bluetooth speaker on, it can be a very immersive experience. Having the added extra of natural soundscapes in many audiobooks can make it feel like you're almost outside. Just open a window and add a warm breeze!

She has been Vice Chair of the Romantic Novelists' Association, and her books have been shortlisted for Contemporary Romantic Novel of the Year Awards. Sarah Perry is the author of After Me Comes the Flood and The Essex Serpent. She has a PhD in creative writing from Goldsmiths University. Her thesis was about the Gothic, and her books are written in this style. Her first book was shortlisted for the Guardian 'First Book Award' in 2014, while The Essex Serpent went on to win multiple awards including Book of the Year and Fiction Book of the Year at the British Book Awards 2016, The Waterstones Book of the Year 2016.
