Podcasts are having a moment. There's been a massive increase in listeners over the past few years. Since the unprecedented success of Serial in 2014 sparking the fascination with true crime, podcasts have only grown. In 2018, Listening Books created their own podcast, Voluminous, all about reading and audiobooks.

Before starting to write novels he studied history and previously worked as a journalist. He lived in London for several years before moving down to Brighton with his wife and three children. The House was chosen for the Radio 2 Book Club in November 2017.

So, as well as audiobooks read by celebrities such as Stephen Fry, we also work with narrators who volunteer their time. If you've borrowed a Horrible Histories audiobook from our library, or swotted up before an exam with a York Notes A Level guide, then it was most likely made in our studios.
